| Josef Albers Posthumous Works |
The "9 Designs" were originally commissioned by the
Museum for a posthumous stamp series honoring Josef Albers' graphic works.
Subsequently, the Museum produced a set of postcards featuring the stamp designs
and published pairs of the nine designs in a limited edition of prints. The
originals are stored in the Museum's archives, where they are open to inspection
by appointment. |

This original series of compositions was created especially for the Museum of Forgery to extend Josef Albers' reflected-light color studies into the realm of transmitted light. Each image is a study in the color properties of transmitted light viewable through such devices as computer monitors. The full series of purely digital images is stored in the Museum's archives. | |||
