The Roman Forum

INFORMATION
This hybrid online/offline theatrical event focusing on the 2000 U.S. presidential election took place both on YINMOO at UC-Irvine and at Side Street Live in downtown Los Angeles. It ran during the week of the Democratic National Convention, and performances responded to unfolding events of the campaign and the convention.
The June performance, entitled "The Coronation of Poppaea" was sponsored by Friedrich Wilhelms Universitaet and took place as part of the "Global Brain--Bonner Wissenchaftsnacht" in Bonn, Germany, where it was seen by live projection. |

Still Lies Quiet Truth

INFORMATION
This play adaptation of The Candide Campaign was staged with 6 actors and included live projections from IDMOO. It was inaugurated for the 1998 New York International Fringe Festival and repeated for the 1998 New York Digital Salon.

This performance in the Orpheus series took place on the international Day Without Art. The performance took place on IDMOO, hosted by the School of Visual Arts, NY, and was seen by by simultaneous projection at the Video Wall
at 55 Broad St., New York, and at the Institute of Cultural Inquiry, Santa Monica. After the performance there was an open online discussion with the Plaintext Players about the performance.

All performances of this series took place online, on PMC MOO, except for one (Nov. 1, 1994) that took place on IATH MOO. The last four performances were part of the "Blast 4: Bioinformatica" show at Sandra Gering Gallery in New York and were seen there via live projection.
A short radio play based on "Christmas 9" was presented on PseudoRadio's "Art Dirt" show on Aug. 15, 1996; the playscript is archived here.
